Full Devonshire cream tea for one: two home made fruit or plain scones with clotted cream and strawberry jam with a pot of house tea for one or a mug of coffee £4.50. Cream tea for two £5.70.

The tea room is a traditional old fashioned tea room with bakery attached. Generous portions of cream and jam were provided. The scones were good; large and tasty although served cold and not a fresh as they had been on previous visits. Service was friendly and efficient.

£4.50 for two scones, clottd cream, jam and pot of tea for one.

The tea room overlooks the car park and traffic noises from the A 30 were clearly audible. We had plain scones fresh from the oven which were slightly undercooked. Minimal amounts of jam and cream were offered. We found the jam to be of poor quality. Despite the rather disappointing cream tea the staff were very friendly and attentive.

Devon cream teas, £7.95
Two homebaked scones
farmhouse strawberry jam
And Devon clotted cream
Served with a pot of tea

The Dartmoor location of the Two Bridges hotel is maginificent. We visited on a chilly October day following a hike on the moor and enjoyed sitting by the roaring fire in the hotel lounge. Service was slow and disorganised but the ambience was pleasant. The cream tea was good. Scones were plain and served cold but very good in terms of taste and texture. Our friend's lemon drizzle cake was very poor and had to be returned. No apology was given altough she had no complaints about the replacement chocolate cake.
